Social distancing or self-quarantine is being considered the only way of battling COVID-19. The viral pandemic is very contagious around the world. I’m currently working abroad away from home but still everywhere you go the threat of the virus is everywhere. Even in my country I’m also worried about my family and friends to be safe and healthy.

The only way out is isolating yourself at home and minimizing all the social contacts. Everyone is scared staying home but it’s the best way to help our front-liners who’s helping us throughout the journey to fight this pandemic.

I will share top ten things you can do during the quarantine times to keep yourself busy, healthy, positive, and productive.

 

1. Be the Great Chef in the House

Have you ever tried baking cakes or cupcakes? I think its your chance to try it now.

Homemade foods is more healthier and safe you can be sure of all the ingredients that you are using.  However, in today’s busy lifestyle it is better to buy outside or food delivery. Its not easy to cook on daily basis. Now that you’re staying home all day long why not improve your cooking and baking skills. Try looking out for recipes through YouTube videos. A healthy mind and body is very important. If you get stuck up at home with some yoga Matt or dumbbells that you never use before I think its time for you to pull it out. Healthy food is important, working out and keeping your body mobile is equally vital.  The quarantine has already resulted in minimizing our mobility which is not the best thing for health. 4. Start reading your books that you barely touch for years

In today’s age of social media, we have lost our touch with the books. Not that we do not enjoy reading anymore. It is just that social media seems to be a more convenient way of being in touch with the world and informing ourselves. There are many unread books piling on our bookshelves waiting to be read and loved.

I personally love reading books and I will share to you my favorite Author since I was young “Paulo Coelho”.

 

5. Try some Artwork

You don’t need to be an artist to paint or draw I always believe that everyone is an artist you just have to practice and love what your doing. You can share your feelings through your artworks.

6. Find your inner peace

Meditation is very important. By daily practicing meditation you will become a calmer person. There will be a mental serenity in every task you perform. Each day you will have a different experience so never think about the day gone by, but on the present.
Today’s life is full of stress, which further influences our day to day activities. Meditation helps in reducing stress by affecting your nervous system. Meditation reduces the production of stress related hormones like cortisol and increases the production of good chemicals like serotonin.

 

7. Declutter

When was the last time you declutter your room? Do you also declutter your files or apps in your phone and laptop? I think its perfect time to organize all of your stuff. Decluttering sounds easy, but is an important method of change. Once the decluttering is started, your spirits will be lifted and you will release a huge amount of positive energy and great feeling inside.

Dancing can be a great recreational and sporting choice, because anyone of any age can take part. It doesn’t matter whether it is cold or raining, as dancing is usually done indoors.
